UFO Encounters Over Lake Huron – Updated
Introduction
This feature highlights an ongoing account of mysterious lights appearing in the eastern skies over Lake Huron near Port Huron, Michigan. These lights resemble orb UFOs that appear bright like stars or planets, move around usually to the left and right but sometimes up on an angle as well, and then disappear only to reappear again in the same vicinity a few minutes later. I see these lights out of my bedroom windows looking east above the tree line.
This is a repeated event that has been happening since first being noticed on December 14, 2023 at 4:00AM. The time window for these sightings are usually between 3:00AM and 5:00AM and only noticeable on nights with clear skies indicating that these objects are operating at very high altitudes perhaps outside of our atmosphere in space. There is a very exhilarating feeling that comes when seeing these light orbs. I get the feeling that they are communicating on an energetic level as well because the tingles are very intense when I see them and think about projecting thankful and loving sentiments to them.
Due diligence was performed after the first few sightings at the time of sighting by checking the flightradar24 app and timeanddate.com star map to verify the objects are not airplanes, stars, or planets. It was rather obvious to me after viewing the movements and behaviors of the lights that these are not airplanes, satellites, stars, or planets. There is always zero or very minimal air traffic in the area at that time of night. Screenshots of the flightradar24 app are displayed. I tried calling the local international airport to inquire but they have no record of any mysterious lights at that hour. Most of the time I am witnessing these orb UFO lights with my mother so there are two of us present seeing the same phenomenon. Most of my sightings are also documented at the National UFO Reporting Center. One sighting on 12-6-2024 had corroboration with a witness in a nearby town also reported on the National UFO Reporting Center.
The lights typically appear as white but when viewed through a binocular they sometimes appear orange. They will typically make simple slow left and right moves before disappearing in a flash or blinking effect. They will then reappear again minutes later in the same general vicinity and do the same left and right movements. On multiple occasions I have seen them do a “thread the needle” maneuver where 3 lights appear and one of them will move in-between the other two in an upward and left direction as seen in the videos. I have seen them appear in a triangle formation and also seen them line up vertical in front of me. After lining up vertical for about 20 seconds one of them took off very fast to the right. The speed was faster than any airplane or jet I have ever seen.
Since I started noticing these lights while driving to work for an early shift I have been keeping watch during clear nights. I will sometimes drive out to Lake Huron, about 40 miles east of my home, and park at one of the beaches on the lake. The lights still appear far away about 30 – 35 degrees above the horizon over Canada and Lake Huron. However, I think these lights are high above the atmosphere. Sometimes they appear close to the shore when I am driving but usually they appear far in the distance.
I have been reporting these events at the National UFO Reporting Center. The case numbers will be documented here as well. There have been corroborating reports from other witnesses in the area as well. The best viewing seems to be from Port Huron north of the Blue Water Bridge up to Port Sanilac. Considering these orb UFOs are very high the viewing distance could be even greater. They are viewable from my neighborhood about 40 miles west of Lake Huron.
There are many pictures and videos of these event. Only the best among them have been posted. They only appear as light orbs since they have only been visible during the dark early morning hours. My cell phone camera took all of the photos and videos with both regular mode and night mode enabled. Some of the orbs appear elongated because the night mode takes 5 seconds to close the shutter for the picture and the orb UFOs have moved during that time. Sometimes my hand shakes as well in both modes but I often try to stabilize the camera against the window to minimize hand movement. Unfortunately these orb UFO lights do not appear crisp well in photos and videos at night but what is more important is their continual appearance showing consistency and possible interaction attempts. Also important to note is that these non-HD pictures and videos show authenticity as nowadays there is so much AI fakery in pictures and videos. I invite anyone to come have a look for themselves.

Lights in the sky appearing, moving around, and then disappearing
Lights in the eastern clear cloudless sky would appear brightly and then move left and right and then disappear. They would then appear again a few minutes after disappearing and move around again and then disappear. This happened many times over again. The pictures show a triangle formation that they formed before moving and then disappearing. The video shows how bright they are compared to the house lights on the horizon across the bottom.

Moving lights in the sky identical to sighting on December 13 2023

Orange colored lights appeared in the northeast sky this time instead of eastern sky and much closer than the previous sighting.
Sometimes only one would appear or two would appear at the same time and the lights would move either east or west but most of them moved east. The two that appeared at the same time moved opposite each other with the one higher in the sky moving east and the one lower in the sky moving west. Then after moving for a little bit they would disappear.
Approx 10 mins in between sightings where more lights would appear in pretty much the same spot every time. Not sure if these were the same or different craft each time they would appear in the same spot after moving away.
One of the lights got very bright like a powerup pulse. Another light sped off towards the east at a very fast rate of speed much faster than an airplane.
This is the second time I have seen these lights in the sky. No pictures or video from this occurrence.
December 2, 2024 – 3rd Sighting

White colored lights appeared in the eastern sky towards the Canada border.
Sometimes only one would appear or two would appear at the same time and the lights would move left or right and opposite of each other. They would then disappear after moving and then reappear shortly afterwards and exhibit similar behavior by moving again and disappearing repeatedly.
The first video shows lights appearing to form a triangle and then moving left-right of each other before disappearing. About 10 minutes later more lights would appear. The second video shows 3 more lights appearing in a kind of diagonal line formation with the middle light moving up-left very quickly (much faster than I have ever seen an airplane fly) in between the other two lights. Then after moving for a little bit they would disappear again. In both videos there are a few house lights at the bottom horizon level and Arcturus can be seen in the top left portion of the video as well for reference points.
This is the third time I have seen these lights in the sky. I checked the flight tracker and there were no airplanes in the area at the time.
December 6, 2024 – 4th Sighting

White colored lights appeared in the eastern sky towards the Canada border.
This time only one or two lights would appear and disappear at a time and then reappear again a few minutes later. The bright lights toward the bottom of the video are house lights in the distance behind my house. Venus is high on the left side of the video and never disappears. The UFO lights appear higher in the sky.
This is the fourth time I have seen these lights in the sky. I checked the flight tracker and there were no airplanes in the area at the time. The red dot on the flight tracker picture indicates my viewpoint and the white dots indicate approximate location of the UFOs but they could also be farther away in space since it is very difficult to approximate their size and location from the ground at night.
No pictures or video were taken on this occurrence but I used the additional pictures and video taken from the previous occurrence because the sighting was very similar. The flight radar screenshot shows the ski traffic at the time with the red dot indicating my location and the white dots indicating the possible locations of the orb UFOs. I think they also could have been much higher and farther east because the next few times I drove to the beach to watch and some of them appeared just as far away but some of them also appeared very close.

January 20, 2025 – 5th Sighting

On my way to work in the morning I again seen the lights in the sky appearing, moving, disappearing, and reappearing again a few minutes later similar to previous reports. I checked flight radar and no airplanes in the area. They did a thread the needle maneuver again where one light goes in between 2 other lights and then disappear only to reappear again a few minutes later. The pictures show the area where the lights appeared and where they disappeared.
January 22, 2025 – 6th Sighting
I took a ride to Lakeport Michigan beach to view the orb UFO lights. When I arrived there were lights in the sky appearing, moving, disappearing, and reappearing again a few minutes later similar to the previous reports. I checked flight radar and no airplanes in the area. This time a bunch of them lined up directly in front of me over the water in a vertical formation as seen in the picture. After lining up vertically for about 20 seconds, one of them in the middle of the formation took off very fast to the right. The speed was faster than any airplane or jet I have ever seen. I had the feeling that they were communicating with me this time. My body was tingling intensely during the sighting. Other orb UFO lights appeared, moved around, and disappeared again as usual throughout the sighting as well.

February 18, 2025 – 9th Sighting
This event started with two bright orb UFO lights appearing right in front of me. One then darted to the left and the other darted to the right before disappearing. I was not able to get to the camera in time to record them. No airplanes in the vicinity as shown in the flight radar screenshot. Others then appeared for the next hour or so. You can see in the pictures where the orb UFOs appeared and then disappeared mainly toward the center horizon this time.
February 19, 2025 – 10th Sighting
Another typical occurrence except this time I noticed a few of the orbs traveling in a straight line one after another about 20 degrees apart. The elongation in the first picture is because the orb UFO is moving and my camera in night mode takes 5 seconds to close the shutter so that is how much the UFO moved in 5 seconds. Not much movement from me because the other houselights on the horizon are not as elongated. The other pictures show distance moved as well with less elongation blur. No airplanes in the area as usual shown from flight radar screenshot.
February 26, 2025 – 11th Sighting
I had another quick sighting this morning with just a few orb UFO lights. I woke up around 4:30AM and had to get ready and get on the road. Before I left I glanced out the bedroom window and noticed a clear sky so I watched for a bit knowing I was towards the end of the usual sighting time window. After a few minutes I noticed a light appear as usual and moving very fast across the sky in what appeared to be a east-northeastern direction. Another one appeared moments later. I took a few photos and a video showing the light and movement of the orb UFO light over the treeline. Again, there were no airplanes in the area as shown in the flight radar screenshot.
March 3, 2025 – 12th sighting
I set the alarm to wake up around 4AM and seen a few of the orb UFO lights. I only watched for about 30 minutes before I went back to sleep to be up again in a few hours for work. I took a screenshot of the flight radar again to show no airplanes were in the area. The first picture shows nothing besides a star in the top left. The rest of the pictures show where the orb UFO lights appeared close to the tree line. The lights again appear blurry likely because of my camera night mode has a shutter speed of 5 seconds while the orb UFO light is moving in the sky and also probably some shaky movement from my hands.
