Meet The Team

Teamwork

Meet our dedicated team of industry professionals and academics:

Dr. Lawrence Bosek, Ph.D.

Our CEO, founder, and Executive Editor, Dr. Lawrence Bosek, has over 20 years of IT industry experience and a Ph.D. in Technology Management from Indiana State University. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies including Siemens, Penske, McKesson, Morgan Stanley, and JPMorgan Chase regarding IT and security services through the community technology company he founded called LBS Computing & Associates LLC. Lawrence has been a passionate open-source enthusiast ever since first installing Linux on an old PC as a teenager. Reading about corporate misdeeds over the years and the decline of public trust according to the Edelman Trust Barometer prompted him to start the Open-Source Civilization initiative after his research findings from surveying technology managers largely supported expanding the adoption of Open-Source Methodology as a possible solution. He also has a foundation in policy and political economy with a Master of Public Administration degree from Northern Michigan University and postdoctoral fellowships at George Mason University. Dr. Bosek has also served as an adjunct professor at Macomb Community College and Trine University. Aside from doing his part to help improve the society, Lawrence also enjoys hiking, gardening, and being immersed in the beautiful nature of Earth and the cosmos.

Humanity is an evolving species growing ever closer towards the conscious realization that we are all on the same team.

Lenny "Sheepdog" Lyons Cichewicz

Leonard Lyons Cichewicz is our VP Director of Marketing ninja. He comes with over 20 years of marketing and public relations experience since attending Thomas More College, Northern Kentucky University, and the prestigious Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in Detroit Michigan. After graduating he started to travel around the eastern USA as a DJ host and creative director for iHeartMedia / Clear Channel (Media) Communications in radio markets including Michiana, Pittsburgh, Outer Banks, and Sarasota. More recently he has been creating and performing voice-over advertisements as well as advising clients through his marketing company called A Better Reality Inc. Chances are you have experienced some of his numerous Internet and radio advertisements that demonstrate his formula for successful campaigning. Catch Lenny walking on the beaches of Florida with his collection of kites and dive gear ready when the seashells are ripe for the picking, but only when he is not inflicting giggles or dealing with the fine arts on St. Armands Circle. Try not to gawk at his shiny eyelash that was probably imparted to him by his beloved daughter–or maybe from all the lemon water. He quite literally has a twinkle in, although, it’s more like on, his eye!

It’s not how you say it, it’s How You Saaaayyy It !!!

We would not be able to do what we do if not for the greater open-source community, particularly the tireless efforts of developers, innovators, and the Open Source Initiative, of which we are very thankful for helping to bring us where we are as a society today regarding open-source methods. As their website states, the OSI supports institutions and individuals working together to create communities of practice in which the healthy open source ecosystem thrives. Open source enables a development method for software that harnesses the power of distributed peer review and transparency of process. The OSI is a non-profit corporation with global scope formed to educate about and advocate for the benefits of open source and to build bridges among different constituencies in the open source community.

The OSI helps build a world where the freedoms and opportunities of open source software can be enjoyed by all.

Open Source Initiative

We also rely on and work with a seemingly endless list of freelance consultants, data analysts, scientific researchers, investigative journalists, and industry experienced professionals, many of whom act as whistleblowers, from across the vast socioeconomic sphere to help us gather and spread information related to open-source methodology. Contact us today to become a part of our team supporting the goal and bringing awareness about open-source methodology for improving business processes and public trust!

An open organization engages participative communities both inside and out by quickly responding to opportunities, having access to resources and talent, and inspires, motivates, and empowers people at all levels of the organization to act with accountability.

You!

And of course you! Your continued efforts to improve our society by scrutinizing the information that organizations disclose to the public is essential and greatly appreciated. We must act together to make the future an open and honest place for our future generations to live together in peaceful prosperity. We are doing our part to incentivize organizations to be more open and transparent no matter the industry, ideology, or how big and powerful. You must also do your part to uphold the open-source methodology standard and demand that the companies you rely upon become OpenCIV certified!

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must undergo the fatigue of supporting it.

It is the duty of everyone, as far as their ability extends, to detect and expose delusion and error.

A body of humans holding themselves accountable to nobody ought not to be trusted by anybody.
